ZEE5


ZEE5 is an Indian video on demand service run by Essel Group via its subsidiary Zee Entertainment Enterprises. It was launched in India on 14 February 2018 with content in 12 languages. The ZEE5 mobile app is available on Web, Android, iOS, Smart TVs, among other devices. ZEE5 had 56 million monthly active users in December 2019.
Zee5 is a paid Video on Demand service. The subscription costs ₹999 for a year. Monthly/Quarterly/Semi-annual plans are also available. ZEE5 Club is an OTT television entertainment pack that provides exclusive access to television shows before they telecast on TV. Apart from ZEE5 and Alt Balaji shows, it offers over 1000 movies, ZEE Zindagi shows and more than 90 Live TV channels.
The platform also provided the first Tamil web series in 2018 with the title America Mappillai. In the same year, the platform also introduced another web series titled, Kallachirippu which was produced by popular filmmaker Karthik Subbaraj, and Karenjit Kaur – The Untold Story of Sunny Leone, a biographical web series on Sunny Leone.
The service has been launched everywhere except for United States, because of Dish Network's clause in the contract ZEE has with the satellite provider, which is a major provider of Indian channels in the country. ZEE5 has launched Ad Suite which has Ad Vault, Ampli5, Play5 and Wishbox. Zee5 is also available for free on Vodafone Play and Airtel Xstream. Vodafone Idea joined Zee5 and formed a new channel known as Zee5 Theater which airs original movies and shows of Zee5 exclusively available on vodafone play and the Idea mobile and Tv app.

Content

In 2018, ZEE5 was launched with its existing roster of movies, and was simultaneously streaming original shows such as America Mappillai, Life Sahi Hai and Karenjit Kaur – The Untold Story of Sunny Leone, which were an instant hit with the viewers and so, the company kept producing more original shows.
The Will - a Hindi play adapted from a Marathi language play named 'Kunitari Aahe Tithe' is available on ZEE5. Featuring - , Shriswara, Anil Charanjeett, Anjum Sharma, Namya Saxena, Pawan Chopra, Brijendra Kala, Vikram Kochchar. Directed by - Akhilesh Jaiswal, and produced by Iris Productions.
In July 2019, ZEE5 and ALTBalaji announce content alliance - ZEE5 subscribers will get seamless access to ALTBalaji’s originals in addition to existing ZEE5 content.

The platform also offers a mobile app on all platforms, and it has partnered with global tech giants like Applicaster, Lotame, Talamoos and A.I. video enhancement startup Minute.ly to provide enhanced UI/UX and improved application performance.

HiPi

is a video sharing social platform for Indian audiences where users can record and upload their own videos and can also view and engage with the videos shared by other people. Users can access the platform on the ZEE5 App for free.
Available features:
1. Creator module – It lets the users create short video content
2. Feed – a feed where the users can browse & engage with the content from other users
3. Discover – a discover tab where the users can search and view popular and trending content
