Yuval Scharf


Yuval Scharf is an Israeli film, television, and theatre actress and model.

Early life

Scharf was born in Even Yehuda, Israel, to a Jewish family. Her parents are Yael Sharoni-Scharf, a member of kibbutz Tel Yitzhak. Her cousin is Israeli television host Guy Meroz.
In 2008 she completed her acting studies at Nissan Nativ Acting Studio.

Career

Television and Cinema

Between the years 2004 and 2005 she played the journalist Yasmin Barnea in the telenovela Exposure directed by Robbie Duenias. In 2006, she participated as a reporter for the Music 24 programme The Magazine.
In 2008 she played a guest role in the television series Maybe This Time, played Nitzan in the first and third season of the television series Srugim, directed by Laizy Shapiro and Chava Devon, and Neta in the film Lost Islands, directed by Reshef Levi.
In 2009, she played Ilil in the daily television series 'Rosh Gadol, Big Deal which was broadcast on Arutz HaYeladim and Yes, and Naama in the television series The Naked Truth which was broadcast on Channel 10. In 2010, she played Elinor in the television series Ha-Chaim Ze Lo Hacol on the network Reshet's Channel 2, alongside Avi Kushnir.
She played Elia in the television series Other Life. In 2011 she played Noa in Joseph Cedar's Footnote and participated in the second season of the comic series Bobby and I. In 2012 she played Anat in the series New York and played a guest role in Ha-Dillerim.
In 2013 she played the character Ella Gursky in Avi Nesher's film Wonderland alongside Uri Hezekiah, Adir Miller, etc. At the beginning of that year, she participated in Ivri Lider's music video of the song "Esther is Eating Carbohydrates".
In 2014, she played the lead role in Amos Gitai's film Ana Arabia and in the drama series A Table for Six, which is broadcast on Channel 10. A table for six participated in a skit by Eretz Nehederet alongside Eran Zerachovitch. From that year she began to participate as a celebrity brand for the new Ofer shopping centres. In 2014, she played in the drama Moon at Home directed by Dorit Hakim, and for her role in the film she was nominated for the Ophir Award for Best Supporting Actress at the 2015 Ophir Awards. The film was released in September 2016.
In 2017 she began playing the lead role in the Hot series Fullmoon on Hot Israeli Entertainment, as Karen, Idan's partner alongside Tomer Kapon, Ortal Ben Shushan, Dean Miroshnikov, Maor Schweizer, etc.
In 2018 she played Tanya in the BBC drama McMafia.

Theatre

At the Beit Lessin Theater she participated in several plays: In 2008, she played Jill in the play Aquus and played in the play Alma and Ruth; In 2009 she participated in the play Conditions of Affection and in 2010 participated in the play Uncle Vanya.

Personal life

On 9 October 2011, Scharf married Shlomi Shaban, and in 2015 their first son was born.
