William E. Peck


William E. Peck was born in New York City, New York, on September 13, 1849.
He is the founder of the Pomfret School in Pomfret, Connecticut, a coeducational boarding school. Peck founded the Pomfret School for Boys, as it was originally called, in 1894 with his wife Harriet Jones Peck.
Prior to that, from 1883 to 1894, he served as headmaster of St. Mark's School in Southborough, Massachusetts.
William Peck died at the Pomfret School for Boys on January 7, 1897.
