Werner Schriefers - painter and university teacher from Germany. He was born on May 23, 1926 in Dülken and died on January 1, 2003 in Cologne. He was awarded the Officer's Cross of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany, the Order of Merit of North Rhine-Westphalia.
