Wang Shanshan is a Chinese football defender who plays on the China women's national football team.Career
Wang Shanshan played for China's gold medal-winning team at the 2011 Summer Universiade in Shenzhen. She made her senior China women's national football team debut in March 2012, versus Germany. In April 2015 she scored in China's 2–1 friendly defeat by England at Academy Stadium, Manchester.
At the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup, Wang Shanshan had been advertised as a defender but was deployed as a centre-forward by China's coach Hao Wei.
At the 2018 Asian Games, she scored 9 goals in a match against Tajikistan after appearing as a 56th minute substitute.
