Serving with Jasta 4, on 15 May 1918 von Rautter claimed a Camel flown by 2/Lt Oswald George Brittorous of 209 Squadron, over Aubercourt. It was von Pressentin's ninth victory.
He would amass a total of fifteen before he was killed in action against French Breguet bombers on 31 May 1918. Having downed 12 of his 15 victories in the Fokker Dr.I, he's one of the most successful dreidecker pilots in the war.
