Truus Dijkstra
Geertruida Catharina "Truus" de Koning-Dijkstra is a Dutch former long track speed skater, specialized in sprinting. She was active from 1969 to 1976.
De Koning-Dijkstra represented her nation at the World Allround Speed Skating Championships for Women in 1974, finishing 12th overall and also at the World Sprint Speed Skating Championships for Women in 1974, finishing 12th overall. She also competed at the European Speed Skating Championships for Women in 1974, finishing 6th overall.
In 1971, 1972 and 1973 she became dutch kortebaanschaatsen national champion. Between 1969 and 1976 she competed seven times at the Dutch Allround Championships, finishing 4th in 1974.Records
Personal
Truus was born in Buitenpost. Several people in her family are speed skaters. When she was 22 years old, she married Jacques de Koning from Purmerend. Their son Jacques de Koning is a former speed skating sprinter.
