Terhi Hakala
Terhi Hakala is a Finnish diplomat. She is the Ambassador of Finland and will be in charge of the Permanent Representation in the UN in Geneva from 1 September 2016. She started working for the Ministry for Foreign Affairs in 1988.
Before joining Geneva, Hakala worked as a department director for the Eastern department of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and earlier Hakala has served as Finland's ambassador in New Delhi in India between 2009–2012 and at the same time in Kathmandu in Nepal from 2009 to 2011 as Head of the OSCE Mission in Georgia and as a rotating ambassador to the South Caucasus.
