Sree Ram


Sree Ram, is a Krav Maga instructor from Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.
He introduced KravMaga in Tamilnadu state, South India after training at Israel. SreeRam is also known for his political cartoons, TV interviews & articles on self-defence, personal safety and as a fight choreographer, trainer & actor in Tamil movies.

Police and para-military training

SreeRam teaches Krav Maga unarmed combat to Tamil Nadu Police Commando force, warders of Tamil Nadu Prison Department, Chennai City Police and the Central Industrial Security Force.
SreeRam demonstrated Krav Maga for police to the Chief-Minister of Tamil Nadu, during the Tamil Nadu Police Medal parade, on August 23, 2013.

Safety training for working women

SreeRam does corporate safety workshops of women, especially to employees of IT/BPO companies, hotels, hospitals, taxi drivers and also women living in rural areas. SreeRam demonstrated Krav Maga to the Governor of Tamil Nadu on November 20, 2013.

Girl students self defence training

Working with Madurai police, SreeRam is teaching KravMaga and allied safety procedures to 1 lac women and girls through 17 colleges, 42 schools and 100 police Sub-Inspectors of Madurai city.
SreeRam works along with social organizations to teach self-defence to girls studying in colleges and schools. KravMaga was taught to girl students of Thiruvanmiyur corporation school in 2014 as part of the weekly timetable.
Sree Ram teaches 800 girl students at VIT University, which has made KravMaga mandatory for 1st year girl students.

Movies & TV

Tamil movie Sillu Karupatti, an anthology of love stories features SreeRam paired with Leela Samson, as the lead romantic pair.
In "Atho antha Paravai Pola" SreeRam is featured as the KravMaga trainer of the protagonist Amala Paul.
Anurag Kashyap, was trained in KravMaga by SreeRam for the stunt sequences of The Tamil movie Imaikkaa_Nodigal
Vendhar TV, a Tamil channel ran 42 short morning breakfast show episodes of SreeRam teaching Self-defence and fitness across 3 months starting from 19.06.2017
Colours TV, Tamil channel featured SreeRam teaching KravMaga self-defence to the girls aspiring to marry Arya in the 10th episode reality show Enga Veetu Mappilai

Artist

SreeRam is a prolific artist, whose doodles on social issues and designs for police department's social messages are often mentioned in press; especially the road safety campaign based on the popular movie song 'Why this Kolaveri, Di?".
SreeRam's SANIONS series of cartoons for the AIADMK party during the TamilNadu state assembly elections, 2016 became popular and had a huge fan following. These were caricatures of the state political leaders based on the popular Minions_
