Robert Goforth
Robert Goforth is an American politician from the state of Kentucky. A Republican, he serves in the Kentucky House of Representatives.
Goforth is from East Bernstadt, Kentucky. He was first elected to the Kentucky House in February 2018. Goforth challenged incumbent Republican governor Matt Bevin in the 2019 gubernatorial election, getting roughly 40 percent of the vote in the primary election.
In April 2020 Goforth was arrested on charges relating to domestic violence. Laurel County Sheriff's Office charged Goforth with first-degree strangulation, fourth-degree domestic assault and third-degree terroristic threatening. He was taken to the Laurel County Detention Center.
