Reynolds Brothers


Reynolds Brothers, also known as Reynolds, was a department store in New Jersey. It was founded In Lakewood, New Jersey before the turn of the twentieth century.
The company operated operated department stores for more than 100 years in Perth Amboy, Toms River, Somerville and other locations in the state and the Northeast. The
business was sold outside of the Reynolds family in 1995.
The company gave an annual outstanding achievement award to employees that was named the "Betty Award" in honor of Betty Reynolds, the wife of thirty year company president Charles Hess Reynolds Sr., son of the chain's founder.
The store was founded in 1899 by George F. Reynolds in Perth Amboy. Reynolds died in 1965 at age 101.
