History

PCBPAW activities began on October 14th, 1995, with the first Polish-Canadian Society Business Dinner at the Dom Polski Hall, Windsor. Since then, Annual Polish-Canadian Society Business Dinners have taken place every year. Each involves a keynote speaker, guest speakers, business and professional people, and community representatives.
The PCBPAW initiated the partnership between Windsor and Lublin, Poland, in 2000 and is instrumental in maintaining it. Business missions were organized between the sister cities.
Since 2007, the PCBPAW facilitated the creation of many displays. Six were developed in partnership with the University of Windsor. In 2017, the collection was completed as the Polish-Canadian Commemorative Exhibition and promoted Canada’s 150th Anniversary nationwide.
In 2008, the PCBPAW published the book, “One Century of the Polish Community in Windsor, 1908-2008”, as a parallel text and a video with the same title.
The PCBPAW played a major role in organization of five Polish Weeks in Windsor and supported activities of Polonia youth, for example, since 2009, the Polish-Canadian Young Leaders Conferences, Quo Vadis.
