Ashby's Gap

of Paris, for which it is named, represents the
highest
elevation in both
counties
. The peak is
accessible
by
Blue Ridge
Mountain Road
from the
gap
.
The Appalachian Trail
is
crosses
the western
slope
of
the peak
.
