Nyoro
language
is a
local
bantu language
of the
Nyoro people
of
Uganda
. It
belongs to
the
Niger–Congo family
,
Benue–Congo
subgroup
,
Bantu
branch
. Its
Ethnologue
code
is
NYR
,
ISO
639-2: nyo. It
probably
has two dialects:
Orunyoro
and
Rutagwenda
. A
standardized
orthography
was
established
in
1947
.
