Nesby Glasgow
Nesby Lee Glasgow was a professional American football safety who played 14 seasons in the National Football League from 1979 to 1992. Glasgow attended the University of Washington and was recognized as part of its Century Team. His interception helped clinch Washington’s 1978 Rose Bowl win over Michigan.
In his career, Glasgow amassed 9 sacks and 15 interceptions for 189 yards. As a punt returner he had 80 returns for 651 yards and 1 touchdown, and as a kickoff returner he had 85 returns for 1,906 yards. He was 1984 Defensive Player of the Year for the Indianapolis Colts and in 1990 for the Seattle Seahawks.
Glasgow died on February 25, 2020 due to a lengthy battle with stomach cancer, which started in his stomach and liver, was at stage 4 and had already spread outside its origin.
