Myriam Fares is a Lebanese singer, dancer, actress and entertainer. She is recognized across the Middle East as one of the only Arab female artists who performs choreographed dance routines while singing, and was thus titled "Queen of Stage" by Arab media. She has released 5 studio albums to date, with several chart-topping singles including her debut "Ana Wel Shou", "Nadini", "Moukanah Wein", "Mosh Ananiyya", "Eih Elli Byohsal", and "Nifsi A'oulhalak". In 2010, Myriam starred in her own RamadanTV show, "Fawazir Myriam", during which she performed dance routines and comedy skits for 30 episodes. The show received largely positive reviews for her dance performances and elaborate multicultural choreography. She was nominated by Google as its Middle East ambassador in 2012. Myriam made her acting debut with the TV soap operaItiham released in 2014. Later that year, she performed live in Disney's musical Peter Pan in the United Arab Emirates, playing the role of Tinkerbell. Career
Fares's first album was Myriam released in 2003, followed by Nadini in 2005. Fares's third studio album "Bet'oul Eh", was released in April 2008. The album creatively mixes music genres. It consists of nine songs, including romantic ballad "Mouch Ananiya". The music video showcases Fares's acting skills, and the video was executed under the direction of Leila Kanaan. Two other songs of the Album "Bet'oul Eh" are "Betrouh", and "Iyyam EL Shiti" were shot as music videos in Paris incarnating cinematographic ideas under Smayara's direction. Fares's fourth studio album "Min Oyouni", was released on 1 September 2011. It consists of nine songs. Fares made her acting debut with Itiham released in 2014. She announced her fifth studio album Aman to be released on 5 January 2015. Fares set a record on Anghami, the popular music streaming service in the Arab world, for the most played artist and most played album for Aman.
Personal life
Fares, born in Kfar Chellal, Sidon District, married Lebanese American businessman Danny Mitri in August 2014 after 10 years of dating, and are still married to this day. The ceremony took place on the Greek island of Santorini. It was announced that they are expecting a child on 6 October 2015. On 6 February 2016, Fares announced the birth of a boy, Jayden, via an Instagram post. Fares is a Christian. In 2015, she was amongst several famous Christian celebrities within the Arab world targeted by extremists cyber trolls for celebrating Easter. In an interview with, she stated that she was a supporter civil Marriage and was not against interfaith relationships. Myriam has often been criticised for her "provocative" style of entertainment, especially her choice of wardrobe and dance style, creating comparisons with Colombian pop starShakira.
