Loreto College is a Roman Catholicsixth form college in Hulme, Manchester. The key values derive from the educational philosophy of Mary Ward, a 16th-century Englishwoman, who founded the Institute of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the congregation of religious sisters who started the college in 1851. During Ofsted's inspection in 2006, Loreto was adjudged to be "outstanding in every respect" with a Grade 1 rating in all the inspection criteria. This was repeated in 2009. As of 2019 this remains the most recent Ofsted inspection as "outstanding" rating grants exception from further full inspections other than monitoring visits.

Location
The school is situated on the western edge of Manchester, next to Trafford and St Mary's Church. It is accessed via Princess Road, the A5103. The college campus was redeveloped from 2002 to 2014 when four buildings were constructed. The campus has two smaller buildings, the Chapel which is home to the Art and Design Department and a Sports Hall. Most of learning faculties are situated in the four main buildings on the campus.
