It covers the municipalities of Kristiansand, Bykle, Valle, Bygland, Evje og Hornnes, Iveland, Vennesla, Birkenes, Lillesand, Søgne, Songdalen, Mandal, Marnardal, Lindesnes, Åseral and Audnedal, and is subordinate Agder Court of Appeal.
