Katie Beirne Fallon
Katie Beirne Fallon was the White House Director of Legislative Affairs and head of the White House Office of Legislative Affairs, named to the position in 2013 by President Barack Obama. Previously, she was the White House Deputy Communications Director, Staff Director of the Senate Democratic Policy & Communications Center, and Legislative Director to Democratic Senator Chuck Schumer. According to the Washington Post, Obama selected the "veteran Capitol Hill insider with deep relationships with Democratic lawmakers, to bolster his legislative affairs operation."
Fallon resigned as Director of Legislative Affairs on February 13, 2016, and was succeeded by her former deputy, Amy Rosenbaum.
In November 2016, she was appointed senior vice president and global head of corporate affairs at Hilton Hotels.
Fallon graduated first in her high school class and graduated summa cum laude in government and international studies from the University of Notre Dame in 1998 before studying in the United Kingdom at Queen's University, Belfast in comparative ethnic conflict and the London School of Economics in comparative politics, both on a Marshall Scholarship.
Before Fallon started her career in politics she worked in investment banking in New York City.
She is married to Brian Edward Fallon Jr., whom she met at the DPCC, and who served as national press secretary to Hillary for America. They have twin boys born in April 2016. She was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio by a bipartisan family.
