Kansas City Southern Railroad Bridge, Cross Bayou

Kansas City Southern Railroad Waddell "A" Truss Bridge, Cross Bayou, in Shreveport, Louisiana, was built in 1890. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1995.
The bridge once carried the Kansas City Southern Railway across Cross Bayou, parallel and about east of Spring Street's crossing.
It is one of the only two remaining Waddell "A" Truss Bridge, designed by John Alexander Low Waddell.
The bridge no longer carries rail traffic, and rail connections were removed prior to 2002.
It is recognized as a historic site by the City of Shreveport.
A second Waddell "A" Truss Bridge was built in Missouri in 1898 and is also listed on the National Register.
