John Reese (baseball)
John Edward "Bubbles" Reese was a Negro Leagues outfielder and manager for a couple years before the founding of the first Negro National League, and in its first few seasons.
In 1917, 22 year-old Reese registered for the WWI Draft. He lists his employer and home address as Morris Brown University in Atlanta, Georgia. He lists his occupation as a janitor in the Odd Fellow Building. And he lists himself as single but with a 3-year-old child and mother listed as dependents.
