"Irresistible" is a song by Irish pop rock group The Corrs. It was released on 13 November 2000, as the second single taken from their third studio albumIn Blue. "Irresistible" was written by The Corrs, and co-written and produced by famed music producerRobert John "Mutt" Lange. Taylor of Sputnikmusic named it a "poppy hit." Jane Stevenson of Jam! considered "Irresistible," "one of the album's weaker songs." Commercial performance
Although "Irresistible" did not match the success of the previous single "Breathless", it did manage to peak inside the top twenty in some countries. In the UK, the song reached number 20 on the UK Singles Chart, becoming their seventh top 20 single there. On the Irish Singles Chart, the song debuted and peaked at number 30. In France, the song managed to reach the top 40, peaking at number 39, on 17 February 2001. In New Zealand, the song managed to peak inside the top 10. It debuted at number 44 on the RIANZ chart on 14 November 2000, but fell off the charts the following week. It re-entered at number 51, on 10 December 2000, and peaked at number 8 on 28 January 2001. In Australia, the song debuted at number 39 on the ARIA Singles Chart, on 11 November 2000. On 17 December 2000, the song jumped to number 28, becoming its peak position. It left the charts at number 50, on 14 January 2001. However, the song re-entered at number 27, on 28 January 2001, becoming its peak position.
