IBM Cloud
IBM Cloud is a set of cloud computing services for business offered by the information technology company IBM. It combines platform as a service with infrastructure as a service. The platform scales and supports both small development teams and organizations, and large enterprise businesses. It is globally deployed across data centers around the world. - June 2013 - IBM acquired SoftLayer, a public cloud platform, to serve as the foundation for its IaaS offering.
- July 2014 - IBM introduced the Bluemix Platform-as-a-Service.
- October 2016 - IBM rolled the SoftLayer brand under its Bluemix brand of PaaS offerings.
- October 2017 - IBM unified its entire cloud portfolio as IBM Cloud.
