The green-fronted hummingbird is a species of hummingbird in the family Trochilidae.

Some taxonomic authorities consider the cinnamon-sided hummingbird conspecific.

Distribution and habitat

It is found in Mexico and western Guatemala. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry forest, subtropical or tropical moist lowland forest, subtropical or tropical dry shrubland, and subtropical or tropical high-altitude shrubland.
