Gaston Vedel - French Resistance fighter and politician from France. He was born on November 22, 1899 in Carmaux and died on June 22, 1993 in Saint-Paul-Cap-de-Joux. He was awarded the Companion of the Liberation, the Commander of the Legion of Honour.
