Eric Jones (golfer)


Eric Jones, MA, Professional Golfers' Association of America is a multi-award winning PGA Class "A" Teaching Professional. He was named the PGA Teacher of the Year in 2014 by the Northern California PGA and was awarded the Horton Smith Award for Education in 2016. Jones played golf for the Stanford Men's golf team, and was also the JV/Assistant Golf Coach in 1991/92. He has a BA from Stanford University, and earned a Master's degree in Sport psychology from John F. Kennedy University.
Eric Jones is the founder of - the Internet Golf University - which is dedicated to leading the evolution of online golf instruction through online learning courses featuring university-style classes on swing technique, playing strategies, and mental skills.
Jones is the founder of the located in the San Francisco East Bay Area of Northern California.
Eric Jones is a two-time World Long Drive Champion, having claimed the Senior World Champion title in 2003 and the Super Senior Champion's title in 2012. He was also the 2004 LDA Long Drive Tour Senior Rookie of the Year, and winner of the 2006 Players Tour Long Drive Championship in both the Open and Senior divisions. His golf training program "" is a multi-media training program and the longest-running distance improvement course in golf.

In 2017 he was elected to the Board of Directors of the , the oldest junior golf association in California. Eric Jones is the grandson of amateur golf legend Charles Seaver and nephew of Hall of Fame baseball pitcher Tom Seaver.
