Plot summary

Gwyneth McBride is a Wiccan woman who attempts to open up a homeless shelter in a small community. She is threatened when a local crime lord Joe Merchant with a mathematical bent—and a particular flair for chaos theory—sends in his thugs to intimidate her. She defends herself against anti-Pagan religious intolerance with both martial arts and the support of the homeless shelter residents.
The calm and pacific Ms. McBride shows that paganism is a peaceful system of beliefs that embrace the single commandment: "An Ye Harm None, Do As Ye Will!". Her efforts to heal the cancer suffered by her friend and partner Faith Shields are foiled as an intolerant sheriff and his staff of thug-deputies strive to make Ms. McBride appear to be a devil worshiper rather than the "Harm None" practitioner of the craft.
She eventually has to leave the town as the sheriff and his thugs have fabricated a criminal charge for the loving and peaceful Ms. McBride.
