Denmark in the Eurovision Song Contest 2010
Denmark competed in the Eurovision Song Contest 2010, held in Bærum, Norway in May 2010. The Danish broadcaster DR held the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix contest to select the country's entry for the contest, with the 2010 edition being held on 6 February 2010.

Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2010 was the 40th edition of Dansk Melodi Grand Prix, the music competition that selects Denmark's entries for the Eurovision Song Contest. The event was held on 6 February 2010 at the Gigantium in Aalborg, hosted by Felix Smith and Julie Berthelsen, with Jørgen de Mylius and Keld Heick providing support for the contestants and insight into the preparations needed for Eurovision.Format
Ten songs competed in one show where the winner was determined over three rounds of voting. In the first round, the top four songs based on the combination of votes from a public SMS vote and a six-member jury panel qualified to a second round of voting. In the second round, the four qualifiers competed against each other in two duels, with SMS voting selecting the winner of each duel to progress to the final round. In the final round, the winner was determined exclusively by SMS voting.The six-member jury panel was composed of:

Competing entries
Following the presentation of the entries on 13 January 2010, it was revealed by the entertainment director for DR Jan Lagermand Lundme that the song "All About Me" performed by Zindy Laursen had been invited to take part as a wildcard, but withdrew from the competitions less than 24 hours before the participants were to be presented. As a result of this, MariaMatilde Band was selected as a replacement entry from the public call for songs.

Final
The final took place on 6 February 2010. In the first round of voting, the votes of a jury and a public vote determined the top four to advance to the second round: "Breathing" performed by Bryan Rice, "How Will I Know" performed by Simone, "In a Moment Like This" performed by Chanée & N'evergreen and "Come Come Run Away" performed by Silas & Kat In the second round of voting, the four qualifiers competed against each other in two duels, with a public vote selecting the winner of each duel to progress to the final round: "Breathing" performed by Bryan Rice and "In a Moment Like This" performed by Chanée & N'evergreen. Denmark qualified from the second semi-final of the contest, on 27 May, therefore progressing to the final on 29 May. They ended up in 4th place with 149 points, achieving their best place in the contest since 2001.Split results
- In the Semi-final 2 Denmark came 5th with 101 points: the public awarded Denmark 4th place with 106 points and the jury awarded 7th place with 83 points.
- In the Final Denmark came 4th place with 149 points: the public awarded Denmark 3rd place with 174 points and the jury awarded 7th place with 121 points.
