Dargaz County
Dargaz County is a county in Razavi Khorasan Province in Iran. The capital of the county is Dargaz. Its prestigious ancient name of Abivard was changed just a few years ago, believing wrongly that it is a later Arabic name. Apavarta simply meant "rosewater" in Parthian and Old Persian.
At the 2006 census, the county's population was 73,439, in 19,435 families. The county has four districts: Central District, Chapeshlu District, Lotfabad District, and Now Khandan District. The county has four cities: Dargaz, Chapeshlu, Lotfabad, and Now Khandan.
