Country Music Association Award for Musical Event of the Year
The Country Music Association Awards is a major awards show in country music. Originally presented in 1988 as the Vocal Event of the Year Award, the Musical Event of the Year honor received its current name in 2004. The award recognizes a collaborative track released during the eligibility year by two or more artists who do not regularly work together. Below are the winners and nominees of the award.
Kenny Chesney holds the record for most nominations in this category with twelve, including three wins in 2007, 2012 and 2018 respectively. Tim McGraw and Faith Hill hold the record for most collaborations, having been nominated together for this award six times, winning once in 1997.
