The main economical factor over which chandahandi stands is production of maize and paddy. Outskirts yield maize, and this town is the hub for the transportation of tonnes of maize in post-rain seasons. Being based mainly on agriculture, business relating to fertilizer, pesticides, garments and retail are conducted.
