Caroline Winterer
Caroline Winterer is an American historian. She holds the Anthony P. Meier Family Professorship of Humanities at Stanford University and is also Professor of History, and, by courtesy, of Classics. Since 2013, she has been Director of the Stanford Humanities Center. She received her B.A. from Pomona College and her Ph.D. from the University of Michigan.
Her specialism is American history before 1900, especially the history of ideas, political theory, and the history of science.Books
