Carly Paoli


Carly Paoli is a BRIT nominated classically trained singer/lyricist born in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire,Carly Paoli#cite note-1| England. On 30 June 2017 Paoli released her debut album, ‘Singing My Dreams’.
After leaving college she performed in concerts and for corporate events. Performing at an event in Malaysia, she was spotted by the Geneva watchmaker Bedat & Co. In 2014, she was appointed as brand ambassador for the company and, as a direct result, appeared at the David Foster Foundation Miracle Gala.

In June 2015, Paoli sang a duet with Three Tenors legend José Carreras in a unique performance at Windsor Castle, for the Prince of Wales

In July 2016, Paoli was the headline singer in ‘Music for Mercy’, a concert staged in the historic, Roman Forum.
In June 2017, Paoli released her eagerly anticipated debut album ‘Singing My Dreams’.

Early life

Paoli grew up in Mansfield, spending all her summers in Puglia, Italy where her grandfather and extended family live. She studied at the Rodney School for Performing Arts and continued her education at The Tring Park School for Performing Arts. At 9 years old she began vocal training with Liz Hetherington with whom she still studies. Career

In September 2014, Paoli made her international debut in the David Foster Foundation Miracle Gala as a result of her role as ambassador for the exclusive watch company, Bedat & Co GENEVE. She shared the stage with artists including Oscar-winner Jennifer Hudson and Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler. In November 2014, Paoli made history as the first artist to perform at The International Women’s Media Foundation Awards in Los Angeles, hosted by Hollywood actresses Olivia Wilde and Kate Hudson. Her debut year was rounded off in December by a series of performances at, ‘A Journey Through Time VIII’, Asia’s grandest watch and jewellery showcase held at Starhill Gallery in Kuala Lumpur. Paoli has proved to be popular in Malaysia and has since sung at this event on several occasions.
In June 2015, she was invited to duet with Three Tenors legend José Carreras at Windsor Castle, for the Prince of Wales. She was invited back to perform for the Prince and The Duchess of Cornwall at St James’s Palace in June 2016 as part of a fundraising event for The Prince’s Trust.
In July 2015, Carly headlined a one-off night of music at the spectacular, ‘Terme di Caracalla’ in Rome, again alongside Carreras and joined by iconic Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli. In September that year, Carly was invited to perform at The Celebrity Fight Night Gala in Florence with Andrea Bocelli and conductor Zubin Mehta – an event that raised £8.1m for charity. Carly rounded off the year with performances at New York’s Carnegie Hall and Boston’s Jordan Hall.
In April 2016, Carly was reunited with legendary music producer David Foster who invited her to perform for guests including former world champion Muhammad Ali at Foster’s Celebrity Fight Night Fundraiser in Phoenix, Arizona. Carly shared the stage with country legends, Reba McEntire and Carrie Underwood, who were both full of praise for the young British singer. In that same month, it was announced that Carly’s debut single, Ave Maria written by Romano Musumarra and Grant Black, had been chosen by the Vatican as the official song for Pope Francis’ Jubilee celebrations. The song, released in May 2016, topped the iTunes classical charts around the world and was followed by a second single, ‘A Time for Mercy’.
This single was announced as the official song for, ‘Music for Mercy’, a unique event held in the grounds of The Forum in Rome to celebrate the Pope’s Jubilee of Mercy. Paoli headlined the concert alongside a global line-up of talent including Andrea Bocelli, Elaine Paige, David Foster and The Tenors. It was the first time permission had been granted for a concert to take place in the grounds of The Forum.
On October 2016, Paoli sang at the O2 Arena - her first major appearance in the UK. As a special guest of Andrea Bocelli and as part of his Cinema tour, she sang a varied programme of opera and her own songs. She also sang with Bocelli and their performance of Con Te Partirò elicited a standing ovation from the audience.
‘My Christmas Dream is You’, written and produced by Romano Musumarra was released in November 2016. That same month she sang on the famous Italian children’s show, Zecchino D’Oro and then on, TV2000, She finished the year in spectacular fashion by headlining two events. The first, ‘La Dolce Vita’, with the Ennio Morricone Orchestra’, conducted by Steven Mercurio celebrated the music of Italian cinema. The second was a performance at the Capri, Hollywood Festival in Capri, Italy and the year culminated for Paoli when she was introduced to Pope Francis at The Vatican.
In May 2017, in Gallipoli, Puglia, she was nominated for a ‘Premio Barocco’, award and was the soloist in a performance of ‘Messa Arcaica’, written by the celebrated Italian composer, Franco Battiato in Teatro Massimo Bellini.
On 30 June 2017 Paoli released her debut album, ‘Singing My Dreams’. It features a duet, ‘En Aranjuez Con Tu Amor,’ with José Carreras, and ‘After Loving You,’ with lyrics by Grammy-award winner and Academy Award winner, Don Black, who wrote Born Free and Michael Jackson’s Ben. The album is a mixture of classic and classical pieces. Some compositions have lyrics penned by Paoli, including ‘Memory of You’ with music by multi Academy Award winner composer James Horner and ‘Se tu Fossi’ by Ennio Morricone and Andrea Morricone.
