2020 Dijon riots
The "2020 Dijon riots" took place in Dijon, in the French region of Bourgogne-Franche-Comté. On the night of 10 June, a fight broke out in which a 16-year-old Chechen boy was beaten up by French-Arab drug dealers. It is claimed that firearms were used as a method of threatening. The incident ignited tensions between the Chechens and North Africans, who had previously been in problems with each other. In response to the fight, between 150-200 Chechens stormed the deprived neighbourhood of Grésilles, where many French North Africans live, in order to take revenge against the drug dealers.
